So we have all had it happen. Playing guitar and then you play a cool riff whose origins you can't remember. That has happened to me.

I am sure that this clip is the intro to some 70's classic rock song but I do not know which. The words I remember are "its all right" and "break down", but googling that didn't help. It's the first song on my profile entitled unknown song.

Thanks in advance!

Hey. Checked out your profile dude.

How do you get that Bluesy Twangy sound?

Like for the Drop D jam? What all are you running through?

Just a MIA strat into a BOSS ME-50, to a Fender FM212R ss amp with a GE-7 in the FX loop.

For that one I used a blues driver distortion and a fair bit of reverb.

Thick strings and alot of attack!

EDIT: Listening to it again its probably a curve on the eq. Boosted highs and lows and cut mids.

DId you do that by ear? I'm confused on how you don't know the name of a song, but are able to play it dead on?

the song has pretty generic riffs in it haha, its a really easy song, so i can see someone playing it after only hearing it a couple times on the radio or something
