I've been wanting to buy a new bass, but as I am mostly broke I must sell or trade my old one to help pay for it. It's a Cort Action bass, 4 string, black, and I've had it for about 3 years. It was actually the first bass that I bought. I would post pictures but I don't have a camera. It plays great, and cosmetically it has very, very few defects for a 4 year old bass used by someone who was just starting out. Now I only paid $229 for it so I don't expect to get a lot of return on my investment, but I was still hoping to get quite a bit for it.

Here are the specs:
Bolt-on construction
Agathis body
Maple neck
Modern "C" shape
Rosewood fingerboard
Fingerboard radius 15 3/4" (400mm)
24 large frets
White Dot inlays
Scale length 34" (864mm)
Graphite Black nut
EB7(4) bridge
EB4B-F & EB1B-R pickups
Chromed hardware
Strings (105-045)

In all honesty the bass is an excellent bass and I don't really need to get a new one, I've just been looking at another one and I really like the tone of it compared to my Cort.

well $100 would help, and I have two electrics to occupy my time between basses.

I'm not actually looking to sell this to a store, I might possibly trade it and pay the diff if I can get a good deal on it. But other than that I was just going to put it on Craigslist or in the paper or something. I live in a pretty retarded county in Texas so I was thinking that if I tried I could sell it for about 200 or so to someone who was just starting out.

yeah, but then you'd be considered a scammer.

150, maybe. 200 if you refinish it to look really cool.

Paying $229 and asking $200 is kinda...sketchy. Maybe if you upgraded it, or something.
I have:
Acoustic B200H+B115 cab, Schecter Stiletto Custom 4, Rondo Fretless, Boss EQ-7.

Some men just want to watch the world burn. And they work at Behringer.

yeah. I defretted my bass and painted the fretboard, I could probably get full price for it if I got the electronics in order.

well, when I bought it, it was on sale, originally about $350 or $400 or so, but the sale price was $229. That's why I was aiming for $200. Seemed more legit in my head I guess. Though I probably should have mentioned that earlier.

hmm. then yeah, 200 is pretty legit.
