Hello,

I'm looking for a tube amp that has :
- 2-channels
- FX loop
- (bright switch)
- under $700
- around 20-50w

to play mainly classic rock, hard rock, and blues but that can also have a nice, crisp clean tone.

Any help recommandations ?

Thanks

Does it matter if it's a combo or half stack?

No it doesn't matter as long as it stays in the budget

if you HAVE to have a crisp clean tone, then I'd go with a fender which can do cleans and bluesy overdrive, and add a fuzz box for heavier classic rock.

otherwise, I'd recommend a plexi, it easily does the classicl rock and blues sound. Look into ceriatone's clones of the marshall plexis, they sound amazing, and not too expensive.

A Peavey Classic 30 might do you some good. You might need pedals for higher gain though
My Setup
Epiphone SG
Ibanez RG2EX1

Line 6 Vetta
Peavey Vypyr 15 for teh lulz

^Good idea.

I would look at a Traynor YCV50 or an old Traynor YBA-1.

Yes, I was looking at the YCV20wr in fact as I was planning to save a little bit for an attenuator...

Btw, is the Fender HRDX fit for hard rock ? its bluesy sounds are undoubtfully attractive so I was also looking at this one...
