SEAGULL SEAGULL SEAGULL SEAGULL SEAGULL.

Trust me, the others aren't even worth looking at.

For the name, if you ask the mods REALLY nicely, they MIGHT let you change it. It isn't likely though. Sorry

Seagull will be by far your best option(in my opinion). They're just much better built than Fender or Ovation. Fenders and Ovations are okay. If you like them then go ahead, but Seagull makes top notch stuff.

As for the name change/account deletion, the UG moderators/administrators can change your account name(we do not delete accounts), but only if you have a valid reason(such as if it reveals more personal information than your comfortable with, etc.). We don't want to just change usernames because you don't like it or else we'd have to do that for everyone.

Also, don't create a second account to get around the username change. Secondary accounts will result in a ban on your first account and a permanent ban on the secondary account(s).

Hope that helps.

The Entourage is VASTLY inferior to the S6 Original. I wouldn't pick any of those.

Edit: out of all of them, then I'd go with the Seagull. It's just better quality.
Sincerely, Chad.

Should I go for an S6 and try to haggle?

Well, I guess if you absolutely need the skinny neck, then you'd have to go with either the S6 slim or the Entourage. The S6 slim is a good choice, then. You get all the benefits of S6 Original's superior wood selection and finish, along with the skinny neck.
Sincerely, Chad.

The standard S6 has a 1.8" nut width while the entourage and slim versions of the S6 have the more standard 1.75" nut width. Doesn't sound like too much of a difference, but the difference in feel between the two are like night and day. You should try both out and see what you like.

There are probably some other differences, but I don't know them off the top of my head.

I think the S6 Original has better wood quality, but don't quote me on that

Hey guys, how do you ppl feel about Takamine ?

I've never tried one, but I heard they are pretty good if you want a Martin type guitar.
We Are 138!

So do you guys think there is a substantial reason to spend 75 more on an S6 original over a s6 entourage?
#17
Good question as to why you'd spend another $75 on the S6 vs. The Entourage. I just traded in my Entourage Mini Jumbo, which was a great (and my 1st guitar) for a Masterbilt. Love the Masterbilt, but should have kept the Entourage too as I learned on it. Great git.

Back to your question, for me it was a matter of asthetics. I loved the tobacco burst color of the Entourage but could never get over the stick-on rosette. It drove me nuts. I thought of peeling it off, but like the looks of a rosette on a guitar. Maybe it is a shallow reason as the guitar sounded beautiful, but I hated that damn sticker.

If you are ok with the sticker rosette, you'll like the guitar. I believe that this was one of the ways, if not primary, that Seagull was able to offer the Entourage at it's current price point below the S6. Same cedar top/ and wild cherry laminate back sides and binding.

Good luck with your decision.
