These don't sound like very good ambitions when driving...Judas Priest makes people want to go 200 mph, and Realm of Chaos is now an album for ramming shit. You are dangerous, dangerous people.

I agree with Symbolic, but I liked this slightly better:

And of course, this:

I am but a light shining among the darkness that exists in the hearts of men.

That sounded quite cheesy, now didn't it?

No you don't.

And, to be honest, I can't really think of a personal "best" death metal album.

I mean, I like a lot of melodeath, and tech death, and stuff like that, but picking an album is hard.

Needless to say, this isn't my ideal thread.

Joing bandwagon in 3...2...1...

I like Morbid Angel, some of their songs are astounding and make yo uwant to punch little children in the face because it makes you so giddy. Other times, it's like..meh.

Threadstarter in my opinion was oh so close to hitting the mark...

Necroticism all the way.

IMO it's either

Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten
or
Devourment - Molesting the Decapitated

Metal is a sub-genre of metalcore since metalcore is more popular therefore better.

I think all their albums are amazing other than Domination and Heretic.

Along with Effigy of The Forgotten, Altars of Madness, Tomb of the Mutilated and Symbolic, here are some more of my favorites.

Necroticism > Symphonies

Heartwork had 3 decent songs.

How dare you put Opeth up here.

I second Altars of Madness.

In flames needs to dissappear from this list.

How could I forget Heartwork? Michael Amott is a great guitarist.

And of course, this:

As good as that album is, it's not death metal. At all.

This is album is brilliant.

Elvenefris' formula gets very, very boring after you listen to two or three songs.
