I just found about about these new amps and I was curious about how much they cost in US dollars. Only thing is I can not find these amps in ANY American stores. I think they both cost the same so if you find one you probably found both.

I don't think they are available in the states yet. There was a problem with those and the Classic (1960 and 1990) amps with the FCC I believe, but now i guess they have it all worked out since the 1990 and 1960 just came out here. It shouldn't be long before the V5, V22, and V55 are released here. I'm looking forward to the V5 a lot.

^I know, if you read my post all the way, you'll see I mentioned that the 1990 and 1960 just recently came out, and that the V series would probably follow.

I hope these have less reliability issues, anyway if I were to pick one up it'd probably be from thomann just because they do 3 year warrantys on them.
#13
yeah but how much would it cost to ship a medium large, heavy box from germany to england?

and dont Lloyds have a surcharge for international money transfer? they tried to charge me, i ws gonnan buy and mod one of those harley benton heads, but they tried to charge me £20 for sending my money abroad, so i bought the blackheart instead from imuso.

Think its just a 1 year. I'm sure reports on the new amps QC will begin to come in over forums as the amps are made available.
#17
maybe if i dont spend any money inbetween now and september i can buy one when they come out

i must beat the bugera fanboys to them...that is...if they're actually any good in the long run, im sure someone will get a bugera tattoo and get to own a prototype like that guy (i forget his user) did with the blackheart hothead.

Sweet. I'm looking forward to perhaps getting one of these. They seem to be well worth it. I dunno what the V22 will be loud enough for so I will probably get the V55 combo or head since they have master volumes. I'm excited....

i may get one of the V series if there are based on the VOX AC line.

If these things sound a tiny bit like an Ac30 they will be the bargins of the century.

According to the Bugera website list price for the V22 in the UK will be £305, i'm extremely excited about these amps.
#21
well gear4music has the V22 combo up for £259, and the V55HD (head) for the same price.

i dunno about the V55 combo though, i forgot.

after reading the info about the V55, the preamp seems to be based off of an American circuit. they talk about the california clean tone. that almost always means Fullerton, California, where the Fender factory used to be. im guessing in the normal channel from a super reverb. i would guess the power amp is probably less prone to break up. who knows what the dirty channel is though.

im actually very anxious to try this one out. i would want it as a head with a 2x12 though.

Holy ****! If the Bugera V5 is as good as its specs, I'm gonna be first in line to get one at that price.

I thought the V series was supposed to be based on the Bassman?

Good price though.

They're in the states now, you can look on musiciansfriend. $350 for the V22 and $450 for the V55. Those are both the combos. The head version of the V55 is only $350. oh yeah, and when i said that they were available in the states, i meant that you can preorder them. they should hit around the end of september.

Why all the orgasms over the V-5? Did you all miss the Vox AC-4 coming out. I can understand the anticipation over the V-22 and 55, however. The Tone King done a review and shootout of the 55 on YouTube and it sounded great. The shootout was against a Fender HRD. For the price both go for, the V-55 is definitely what I'd go for.
#29
How is the gain on the V55 head? Has anyone tried it yet?

I saw the the Tone King video where he compared it with the HRD, but he seemed to have it dialed in on a blues tone. I am wondering how high gain it gets, since the Bugera site claims it has a lead channel that can handle modern high gain tones.

If this amp can handle my heavy tone needs, then it's going to be mine.

I've seen the V22s at two different GC's in the past month for $350, so you might be able to find one if you call around. I didn't think the gain sounded very good when I played one though....
I have a huge fear if rays.
