This has probably already been started, but I thought it would be interesting to see your favorite songs to play.

my favorite would be either hysteria by muse or master of puppets.
Those aren't the toughest songs, but I have so much fun playing them.

what about you guys?

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

1) Sober - Tool, Chords sound bad ass on bass

2) The Pot - Tool, just listen to it and youll know why

3)Nutshell _ Alice in chains, just a sweet sounding song.

Hard to really pick a favorite song to play but Id say those top my list. I could just say any tool song followed by metallica. I could list 100's of songs cause I like em all. I am heavily influenced by tool even before I heard them my style was similar. I just started learning Rise against songs. Just love the off timing and timing changes makes songs so much fun.

Well, technically it could be done, but only in the same way that you could change a cat into a hamburger. It's an unpleasant process, and nobody is happy with the result.

Iron Maiden has some of the best songs to play on bass...

My favorite right now is probably Revelations, off the Piece of Mind album. Anyone looking for a good song to play should check that out.

Lately I've been screwing around with RATM.

But since the beginning of my bass-playing, I've never gone a day without screwing around in the blues scale.
