okay I have 2 questions that are really giving me trouble:

What is the source of all electromagnetic radiation?

and

What becomes of the energy of light if the frequency of light matches the natural frequency of the molecules of the medium?

if you can help, please and thanks if not, please don't comment.

source of electromagnetic radiation is a vibrating electron

i don't know the second one, sorry. this should go in math and science help thread though. they'll know better.

i think it breaks the bonds between the molecules

Don't you need more energy for that to happen?

The medium will heat up, this is due to the fact the molecules start oscillating at the same frequency of the light, so causing the medium to heat up

So light is converted to heat, i think.

take it to the math/science thread. i will answer all there

until then this thread shouldn't be made *reported*

dude.
the em source is some complicated **** man. id say that the source is unknown as the composition of EM wasves in general is a phenomenon. however in the case of visible light u can say that energy is the source as visible light can be looked upon as a high enrgy photon.

2nd Q
what happens to the molecules depends on the wave u are talking about. if the frequencey belongs to microwave radiation the molecules wil rotate. if u are talking about IR frequencey then extension and contraction of bonds wil take place (this kineti enrgy is sensed as heat). If it is visible, UV, or gamma, movement of electrons takes place; excition of electrons, and there subsequent return to ground state (resulting in emiision of previously absorbed energy). anything higer causes ionisatio; electron leaves shell

AIDS satan and kreator also rape physics.

oh that makes perfect sense, and its one of the possible answers too. thanks!
