My JCM-800 is going to be arriving soon, and I'd like to re-tolex it in white. Can someone walk me through what one would need to do in order to do this.

Where could I get white tolex?
Do I need to remove the other tolex?
What are the steps?
How much tolex am I going to need?
What tools is it going to take?
How hard on a scale of one to ten?
Anything else...

I'm new to the Customizing thread, so is there something I'm not doing right?

Gerald Webers newest book talks about how to recover an amp and as a bonus you learn a lot about valve amp repair and upkeep too. I suggest you get it.
Not taking any online orders.

Here's a good tutorial on how to tolex it.

When you're taking the original tolex off, you just peel it off and you'll most likely need a belt sander to sand the old glue off the cabinet and get it nice and smooth.
