'Spaceman', a song that The Killers came out with in 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HlJWgBjd1g&feature=channel
(0:10 seconds into it, the "oh oh oh-oh oh oh oh oh oh ho")

Sounds a lot like Against Me!'s 'Thrash Unreal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EovHN5I5Nls
(Starts at 0:49, the backup singer "ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba")

Plagiarism?
I think so.

The killers' new album is horribly subpar anyway(In my opinion), so I just don't care very much.

AM!>>>>>>>>>The Killers, even though both have gone way downhill since their early days.

Also, you could probably find thousands of instances of apparent plagiarism in music if you looked hard enough. A good portion of it is probably unintentional. Haven't you ever played a riff or a chord progression that you thought you came up with yourself, only to realize it sounded just like something you had heard before?

I didn't think about it like that.
Thanks for mentioning.

I do still think the killers have gone pretty low since the old days, though.

Coffee Is For Closers - Fall Out Boy sounds just like Easy Target - blink 182.

But I really don't care about either band's well-being that much.

You're an idiot. Do you not realized that all musicians take inspiration from other musicians to some extent? Of course certain parts are going to sound similar, even the same. That doesn't mean that plagiarism is a definite verdict.
Remember this. Remember the summer. Whatever you do. Don't forget.

I love AM!, and I'm not a big Killers fan, but honestly, with only 12 notes, phrases are bound to repeat. Not a big deal, really.

No. Similar melodies does not mean plagiarism. The tempo is different and its not note for note and I'm sure similar melodies have been done before AM made it. Plagiarism would have to mean the Killers listened to it and purposely copied it. I highly doubt they listened to AM one day and decided to steal the melody, but change the tempo, some notes and the words to it.

Other way around, bud It's the Killers' song that sounds like Against Me!

AM! came out with Thrash Unreal in 2006. The Killers just released this song in 2009.
