I just recently started to learn scales and I'm a little bit confused about how you move forward in the scale.

I'm using a website called all-guitar-chords that has this tool for finding all the notes in a scale, but I don't know how you are to move up through the scale.

Do you just move up the scale whenever you want to as long as it's a note in the scale? Or is there a specific point that you hit a next note?

I know basic scale forms like majors/minors, blues and minor/major pentatonic scale forms, but those had a set way you go up and down the scale, how do you go through an entire scale like G Pentatonic Minor scale?

you learn the notes, a scale isnt a fingering or box pattern.. it's a collection of notes

for example
Gminor Penatonic is

G,Bb,C, D, F

Here is a list of five finger patterns they had for the G pentatonic scale on cyber fret.

How do I transition from one fingering to the next?

The shapes interlock to form the scale.
the 3 and 4 fingers of the 1st pattern becomes the 1 and 2 for the next pattern.

So as long as I strum one of the notes it'll sound good?

It will be a "right note" provided it is the correct key, but if it's good or not depends on what else you are playing.

only if you play over something created around the same scale.

Okay, so how would I find the notes in other scales?

Okay, one last question, do they exactly have to be played in a certain order?

In example could I take:
G,Bb,C, D, F

and play it

Bb,G,F,D?

The order doesn't matter as long as it is the same group of notes?
