well i didnt really mean something i recorded, but for fixing up the sound on my computer with an eq

Well, mids. Depends on the genre, but metal-low mids, rock and jazz-high mids. Where do you think AC/DC get all there balls from? The mids. They only have the gain on 5, but with the mids, it sounds more like 10, but with clarity and cut, no mud or mush.

EQ'ing is part of recording/editing, therefore people would be a whole lot more helpful in the R&R section.
