Yep, I just got back like...an hour ago. Suicide Silence was ****, Machine Head I don't like, but they put on a decent performance, Megadeth was great, and Slayer just brought the ****ing place down.

Nearly half my hair got torn out though, I'm willing to bet. Crowd was nuts.

I went. Suicide Silence was ****ing awful, but everyone else was good. I was sad that Megadeth didn't play Tornado of Souls though .

^ Yeah, big disappointment there. They played it last time I saw them though, and at least they played Holy Wars.

Bigger disappointment was Slayer not playing a single song from Show No Mercy. I mean, come on, AT LEAST have The Antichrist or Die By The Sword.

Annihilator sucks nowadays, Voivod's in Europe (I have Dan Mongrain added on Facebook, he regularly uploads pics from the tour), and I don't like Strapping Young Lad.

e_e.

I was hoping they'd tour with Sabbat, seeing as Andy Sneap is producing their new album.

Not liking Devin Townsend is like not liking sex.

EDIT: The Annihilator I'm thinking of would be one that plays Alice In Hell in its entirety.

And I know Voivod are in Europe, but then SYL are disbanded, so that makes no difference.

Suicide Silence was just ****ing ridiculously bad. I yawned in the vocalists face every time he looked at me.

Seriously, me and the group of friends I was with were counting every single breakdown in a song. So bad.

stupid Slayer need to get their asses to Ontario, damn you lucky western bastards

how many breakdowns did you count? :P
#18
They played around 5 songs, and for every song there were 3-5 breakdowns, and the breakdowns made up about 75% of the song.

Whoever says Suicide Silence is better than Megadeth, Slayer etc.... that's not an opinion that's just pure stupidiy.

Seriously compare this.

Dry your eyes
Hide your face with your hands
One last breathe
Hold it in

**** your past
The future
Is in your hand

Just sit back and relax
Put your ****ing shades on
Put that gun to your head
You're a ****ing disgrace

Can your god save you now? (6x)

You coward (4x)

Drowning yourself
In your tears
No one has
Pity for you

Pity for you (3x)

Seconds from the end
What's it gonna be
Pull the trigger bitch (4x)

TO THIS!

A cockroach in the concrete, courthouse tan and beady eyes
A slouch with fallen arches, purging truths into great lies
A little man with a big eraser, changing history
Procedures that he's programmed to, all he hears and sees
Altering the facts and figures, events and every issue
Make a person disappear, and no one will ever miss you

Rewrites every story, every poem that ever was
Eliminates incompetence, and those who break the laws
Follow the instructions of the New Way's Evil Book of Rules
Replacing rights with wrongs, the files and records in the schools

You said you've got the answers, well who asked you anyway ?
Ever think may be it was meant to be this way ?
Don't try to fool us, we know the worst is yet to come
I believe my kingdom will come

[CHORUS:]
F, is for fighting, R is for red
Ancestors' blood in battles they've shed
E, we elect them, E, we eject them
In the land of the free and the home of the brave
D, for your dying, O, your overture
M, will cover your grave with manure
This spells out FREEDOM, it means nothing to me
As long as there's P.M.R.C

F, is for fighting, R is for red
Ancestors' blood in battles they've shed
E, we elect them, E, we eject them
In the land of the free and the home of the brave
D, for your dying, O, your overture
M, is for money, you know what that cures
This spells out FREEDOM, it means nothing to me
As long as there's P.M.R.C

[CHORUS:]

Put your hand right up my shirt
Pull the strings that make me work
Jaws will part, words fall out
Like a fish with hook in mouth

Rewrites every story, every poem that ever was
Eliminates incompetence, and those who break the laws
Follow the instructions of the New Way's Evil Book of Rules
Replacing rights with wrongs, the files and records in the schools

I'm not a fish
I'm a man
Hook in mouth

Yup, SS sure are the best band out of them. Another thing.

I'm so pissed. It's Canadian Carnage, but it's all in the west

They should have come to Toronto! I'd kill to see Megadeth AND Slayer. I'm actually kind of disappointed, because this is probably a once in a lifetime show. Well, at least I don't see them playing together in the near future.

Ah well.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did more dates, I remember hearing some where that this was kind of a test run tour to see if they could pull off a bigger one.
