Most brands (esp.ESP not LTD) will provide their models left-handed for a "premium". Kind of unfair towards us lefties.

Ibanez models mostle have some sort of FR-Styly bridge and i wouldn't recommend buying an FR equipped guitar for 300 pounds.

Your best bets are Schecter (Damn difficult to find in the UK + expensive.), LTD and Epiphone (although they are hit and miss - Some are great for the price but others are absolute ****). Dean has some good guitars as well for the price. (at least the ones I tried).

Try E-baying some of the above brands. You will find some good deals online. But try to find the model and play it personally before ordering.

Edit: Tokai is quite good too

i hate being a lefty. either you get cheap starter guitars or more expensive ones... there really isn't an in between. i'm starting to get into building my own because i can get exactly what i want for the same price or cheaper.

You could post on UG during breaks, watch youtube videos, read up on some theory, watch porn, or any computer-related activities you enjoy. There are other options as well, such as TV, sexual intercourse, or even just take a snack and water break.

Wrong.

It is very hard to find a good left handed guitar for a decent price these days. and there are only a handful of companies that offer the same models right and left handed. out of the 100+ guitars that fender offers, only 9 are available in left handed. Gibson is even worse. last time i checked, they only offered an SG and two or three Les Pauls.

there are some companies that are really good with making lefties available along with all their other models. two that come to mind are Hagstrom and, as previously mentioned, Schecter. Seeing as you're looking for a "metal" guitar, check out Schecter. but i would recommend checking out Hagstrom's Swedes as well, they are a great all around guitar, and a nice alternative to a Les Paul for a fraction of the price.

a Schecter Omen 6 should fit the bill.

*shrugs* so sue me. I never really looked into it that much, but seeing as I only ever look online at esp's and vintage remakes, I suppose I may have been misled. I actually should be playing a leftie, but I learnt right handed anyways.
