Hey guys, im looking to get a new amp soon and im trying to decide which one i should get. I mainly play metal so im looking for an amp with solid distortion and some cool fx. Im not in a band or anything so it will just be a personal practice amp and maybe some jam sessions. Ive been looking in to the Peavey Vyper 30 and have heard some good things about it. Ive got about $600 saved up to spend on a new amp and i cant wait to get a new one, ive gotten tired of the old G-dec.

So please share any recommendations and information you have, and it would be appreciated

Thanks ya'll

you can get a Tube amp with that kind of money
but if you really want a Modeler then go with a Vetta

if you want to save up/ go to the tube route check my metal Thread for a list that might interest you

oh. damn. i was going to suggest a hughs and kettner switchblade, but if youre only going to go for a practice amp, then maybe the vyper would be a good option. or you could get a peavey mini colossal?
