Hey everyone,

My Classic 50 doesn't seem like it's as loud as it should be. My friend's Crate V33 blows it out of the water in terms of volume at band practice.

I got my Peavey used and the previous owner swapped the speakers. There are currently two Celestion G12L's (they say Ampeg on them so I'm guessing they were taken from another amp or cabinet) rated at 16 ohms each wired in series, making 32 ohms total. But they're plugged into the 16 ohm out on the amp. Is this limiting the volume of the speakers?

I'm wondering if I can wire them in parallel to fix the problem.

Thanks!

No I'm not Jesus. I would aspire to be though. I think under circumstances he would let you pay less if you needed to.

They're 30 watt speakers, but I'm guessing they're slightly over-rated... that's not an issue, right?

Thanks for all the help!
