ok, so im making preparations to route out the neck pocket, humbucker cavity, control cavity, bridge recess and truss rod cavity on my guitar (see sig). i borrowed a router and some bits but i dont know which ones to use. here are the bits:



if anyone can help me that would be great.

p.s. dont worry, im going to do a lot of practice before actually doing these routes.

You'll want a straight bit, that you can affix a bearing of correct width onto so you can follow your template. if you're freehanding it, you'll want the third one from the left in the top set of 5. make sure you're using a plunge router!

You will want to buy a template follow bit and make some templates.

For the truss rod you will need a bit of the same diameter as the widest part of the rod and set up a fence to route a straight line.
