Talk about the songs that were always on in your house/car when you were young that have stuck with you.

I still pop on some Beautiful South now and then; that's like my parents' favourite band. I doubt if I heard them on the radio now I would have liked it, but I can remember their cd's being played in my kitchen and on long car journeys constantly, so I have a soft spot for them.

I got into music throug a lot of my parents records: The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Simpy Red, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel etc. The ones I discovered on TV and on the internet were artists like Buddy Holly, Elvis, Nirvana, KISS, John Lennon etc.

The Beatles, Creed, Ozzy. Pretty much 50% of what I listen to. The list is long.

George Strait, Neil Diamond, and Simon & Garfunkel were the 3 main ones.

My dad listens to NPR, so there's no real music there. My mom listens to songs that were hits from the 70's to today, so it's mostly singles. Like "Uptown Girl" and "Betty and the Jets."

Oh, and Billy Joel.

It's the exact same story for Beautiful South for me

<.<

I've even seen them in concert.

Also people like Elvis Costello, Billy Bragg, Kirst MacColl, Johnny Cash, The Pogues, Paul Weller and The Undertones. Actually, my parents have a pretty awesome taste in music
