okay, im wondering something..

-----------14----14----------------14----14-------|
--------------15----------------------15----------|

something like this... is this shredding, sweeping, an arpeggio, or what?

also, what is a good way to compose the above? is there a certain number of frets that have to go between each note, or what?

any help with this is appreciated.

(the above tab is not my work, it is part of the Sleepless Again solo, by In Flames, tabbed by emad)

it's sweeping picking an arpeggio.

to compose it? learn arpeggio shapes

It's sweep picking and somehow shredding and frets are 13, 14, 15, 17. I don't know what do you mean by certain number of frets that have to go between each note

i just meant that for it to be whatever it was, did there have to be a certain combo of frets for it to be compsed properly, or could any combo of frets (within a certain range of eachother) work.
