I had recently got a squier p-bass and wasn't using it much so i traded it and 100$ for this guitar. Sorry for the ****ty macbook picks.

I had never heard of Dillion before but apparently they are Korean made Gibson knockoffs made in the tokai factory. I don't know a lot about them but i emailed the Dillion website to get the serial checked out.

I believe in the "personal opinion" school of thought, I doubt you've heard of it. Now, go waste your time on something that doesn't annoy me

Necrosis1193 apparently loves Dillion. He has 2 I think. How are they? And they aren't just Gibson copies. They have Fender and PRS copies too.

Huh, didn't know John was making Wine Red DL650's...thought he switched to Rotomatics too, though it's second-hand so that could've been replaced. Beautiful guitar, very glad to see I'm not the only one fond of Dillions. How's she sound?

I'm pretty impressed how it feels actually. Comfortable neck and decent sounding pickups. I hope that its not a fake one like i've heard about on the internet. Heard there was a problem in Canada with fake ones being distributed.

Well, you could always send John(Owner and founder of what I currently use and therefore believe is the proper company) an email at info@dillionguitars.com with the serial number to verify, and even if it's a copy, if you like it is it a bad thing?

They make sexy prs copies. Better then the se custom 22/24. Anyways i wouldn't worry about it being fake. If some one was gonna copy a les paul they would atleast do a knwon brand not a copy brand themsleves.

Dillion is a Gibson knockoff brand, they make guitars above Epis, but not as good as gibson. Their finishes are the same used as Epis, but the build quality is much better. If you don't like nitrocellulose, it could be argued that they are better than Gibson.

Pretty guitar, hngd.

Well, erm, yes, but really only Les Pauls and Firebirds are copied from Gibson. The rest are Fender or PRS copies except for the Rickenbacker 325, Mosrite, and acrylic RR. Otherwise I agree with what was said here, but they're not just a Gibson copy brand. Granted they used to have an SG, Flying V and EDS-1275 copy, but those all got discontinued.

I don't think they're that expensive are they?

Edit: I guess the new ones are in the 800 range which is a midrange price

Actually, if you order from a retailer instead of the company itself, they're about $400-$500.

You're wrong there.

I say that because they do knock off of cheap brands and people think there's no way anyone would do a knock off a cheap brand they would rather do Gibson's etc. Sorry bout my sentance i can't think of a way to explain it because i have the flu and a bad headache.

Turns out its a 2002 and its the Dillions that were distributed in Canada before 2006. in 2006 Dillion stopped their partnership with distributors in Canada so no Canadian company's sell these anymore. According to the owner of Dillion whom i emailed.
