I had a mad moment and bought a vintage MIJ Kawai semi-hollow that has had a fairly tough life. The surface is pretty badly checked but not right through and it still looks ok in its original sunburst from a distance. The sound will suit a few things I play.

What I cannot decide is whether to do a light sand / fill / and stained oil touch-up, or to completely sand re-prime and do the auto-shop paint thing.
I am also not sure what to do with the headstock logo given I want to preserve it in the process.

If this was your guitar what would you do?

Keep it as it is. Just take care of it. Just give it a bit of a clean up.
An Augmented 4th or a Diminished 5th?

Agreed! Don't mess with it. Maybe replace the saddle, if that. Looks like a good score. Cheers!
