Fair enough. My point is that, if your list is exceedingly long, it's probably better to make it fractionally less readable and a lot more compact. If not, at don't bloody double-space it.

I disagree. I think much more the opposite- if you have a short list then best write it as, "I have ONE, TWO, THREE", but if you have a longer list then it's better if a new line is taken. Makes it a lot easier to read.
