Hey guys im looking for a good backup guitar . Atm ive an epi les paul standard and im thinking of an Sg G-400 .

I would use this for a backup and maybe different tunings in songs and if something ever went wrong with my current les paul id have a second one to play so i wouldnt become bored . Keep in mind im left handed

Give me any suggestions you have , My max amount to spend is around 350 euro , maybe 300 euro , thanks

keep saving, get a Gibson Studio Les Paul
then use the Epi as a backup?

that way you will be getting a better guitar than your current one

save up and get an LTD or a Schecter or a Guitar only available in Europe and use your Epi as a backup.

Thanks for the suggestions but i honestly prefer my Epi Standard over the Gibson studio's and if i was to get a real gibson it would be a Custom anyway , I think ill stick to Epi's and maybe Might get a Tokai

i used to use an epiphone les paul special II as an emergency backup.

now i get my bassist to bring his washburn W200 pro e with him to the gigs so i can play drop tuned song and have it as backup.

epiphone guitars really are only good as backups imho.

Yea but if you dont have 3 grand well then i'd settle with one , the specials are pretty terrible but theres something about my Standard , its weird i honestly dont know but i like it better than most gibsons ive played

NO , no Ibanez :L , Maybe tho , Does it have a Floyd Rose ? Hmm

And btw , The Frontman 212R is an amzing amp for the price , they may not do "your" metal or speed trash or some **** like that but they do classic rock and blues perfectly (Y)

The cleans on a Frontman are good, but other than that it's a poor amp. It loks nice though!

I know you said no Ibanez, so I'm going to reccomend the Ibanez ART300, if you don't like the pickups you can change em out. going Gibson really isn't a good idea unless you're loaded
