Everyone will say Peavey lol. The 6262 is the 6505 btw, and the 6260 is the 5150.

Bugera has better cleans, and sounds extremely similar dirty. And as far as I know, they have all the bad amps off the market and only the current run should be there now.

6260 = 6505/5150
6262 = 6505+/5150II

and i would go for a Mark III
or the Peavey

Well I stand corrected then!

WHAT !

no you weren't.
the Peavey 6505 = Peavey 5150 = Boogera 6260
and the Peavey 5150 II = Peavey 6505+ = Boogera 6262

the 6505 is a revised version of the 5150, there is no change in tone there is only changes in the looks.

and the Boogera is a clone of them.

The only difference between the 5150 and 6505 is the name... as far as I know.

It was EVH's amp until he left Peavey and made his own EVH 5150. So Peavey had to change the name.... something like that.

On topic, I'd go for the Bugera. Better clean channel.

The Bugera has slightly less compression, more workable cleans and feels a little neater at lower volumes.

The Peavey has loads of compression and more unnatural gain, but is more full and bassy. It sound like shite at low volumes.

Are you gigging, btw?

The 6505 and the 5150 are the same amp. The 6262 is a 6505+/5150II clone
