My tuner is similar to the one shown here: http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/4787646/E-HowPictures-main_Thumb.jpg

One of the features on this tuner that I have a question about is the Pitch. What difference does a 443 pitch have between a 438 pitch? Which should I choose for standard tuning?

Additionally, when I switch between the different Tones under Mode, three consecutive sets of "A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#" come up, each note sounding different. Which tone should I choose for standard tuning?

The pitch setting is to calibrate the tuner. Some countries define A as slightly different, but in most parts of the world you should set it to 440Hz and leave it there.
