I have a pic from Steve Vai´s pedal board that he used recently, if you are trying to get that sound or at least somewhere close to it this may help. It´s quite a simple set up actually.

This was his set up for the Alien Guitar Secrets gig that he´s been doing recently, he also uses 2 legacy tops and 2 4x12´s.

Pretty similar to Satriani's rig: 2 wahs, 2 delays (probably long and short), chorus, Whammy, distortion.

I think that Morley is a Little Alligator VOlume pedal. Could be wrong, though.

Surprised the Bad Horsie isn't there... very interesting. His board has less pedals than Paul Gilbert's, and I've always thought Vai's playing had more effects than Paul's.

Greg what did you send me??

I was expecting something a bit more impressive. Well his amp and rack mount have a lot to do with his sound as well. I thought he used a Phase 90.
#19
Wow, how does he play that Crybaby with all those wires on top of it?

But seriously, that's actually a pretty simple setup... Although I guess as it's been said, his amp and rack must make up for it...

The picture the TS has isn't Steves pedal board, it's signed by someone else, possibly one of his backup players, saying Vai played on it once

Im pretty sure that its Paul Reed Smiths Signature. but regardless I think this setup is just for the clinics hes doing right now and not his actual live shows.
Sig What?

His board's been practically the same for over 10 years. He usually only changes his rack gear. The only change he's made is putting the JEMINI instead of his Keeley DS-1 and TS9DX.

I rarely see the Bad Horsie on his board. I've seen that same 80s Crybaby in almost every pic I've seen. And most of his stuff is in his rack, so he does have more effects than Paul Gilbert.

if you had actually watched the video and compared it to his current rig, not much is actually different. I think i see two pedals different (just by glancing) one i dont know, the other was he switched his prototype jemini for a real one.
