Why don't you look at a Jackson Kelly? They look quite nice, the Explorer shape, have 24 frets, and the one with the OFR might be in your budget, I dunno.

are they even out yet?

and ts ltd deluxe stuff have some of what you want but you might also want to check out the ESP standard series stuff, also michael kelly hex deluxe and even schecter

but if you are looking for a neckthrough because of the upper fret access they are preety good.

They ship to Europe, you can get custom color woods etc, they have a V shape but they make their own picks ups. You can always swap them out if you don't like them but they're really good pick ups. All made in the USA.

Hm, yea Carvin might be good. You should check out the V220 model, its not a V but you might like that. Their guitars are very high quality too.
