Hey guys..

My tube amp is having some sound trouble. The tone is just absolutely horrible, I dont know if I blew a tube or not, but I keep hearing this.. I dont know how to describe the sounds, but its like a hollow... wind sound... I dont know how to put it, but there's something wrong with the tone.

Any idea on what it is?

well, on a tube amp with sucking tone, first logical thing to do is suspect the tubes? no?

also, what amp is it? B-52?

I recently had a sound problem in my 8 year old Blue VooDoo. It turned out to be a failing in a transistor.

I suggest that you have someone you knows what they're looking at get in there first.

yeah but the bluevoodoo is a crate isnt it?

its understandable that theyd use bad transistors.

with a B-52, id replace the tubes, then if the problem persists get a tech to check over your internal components.
