the haze is the MG with toobz.

get a Peavey classic 30.

if you want british voicing, get a Laney LC or VC 30 watter.

30 to 40 watts in a tube amp is a lot... i think you don't realize how big that is.. i gig with a stack that's 15 watts..... and sometimes i even gig with 7 watts.....

why would you want a marshall?

marshall makes a 40 watt DSL combo, though the stock speaker isnt fantastic from what i hear.
though, i quite like the JCM2000 series of amps. most people arent crazy about them

^ The Haze isn't even really out yet, although I did hear the combo needs a speaker swap and the Haze cab is rubbish...

^^ the haze is out over here, i played it and was disgusted.

its description as an MG w/ t00bs is correct.

i just saw a demo of the haze on youtube.. it really does sound just like an MG... makes me wonder if the tubes are even connected..... if you really want to have marshall gear... get a cab from them and a different head. or, just get their logo and put it on a peavey cab. people who actually care about gear enough to notice know that kids with marshall bought it for the name, and that there is a ton of better stuff out there.

Your not specific so this forum is pointless.
price/genre etc...

Recommendation:
- Mesa Rectifier Pre Amp and Mesa 20/20 power amp.

You want BROOTAL so this is BRUTAL in a 20 watt package.

I suspected that was the case with the Haze. Same built in effects, "specially-designed" Celestion speakers, etc. Even the DSL401 is worthless for it's price, if you ask me. A GC here had one used for $800, and it sounded absolutely horrible for such a high price tag. There are MANY brands that would be better for low wattage/price. Pretty much any brand would be better, actually.

if you want a marshall soundig amp and live in the US, get a Traynor ycs 50, awesome amp for the money

If you don't have a budget, I'll suggest my favourite 40 watt amp: Bogner Alchemist Head with Vader 4x12 cabinet w/V30's.
