hello, I am going to be getting this soon.

I Notice it is a bolt on, I was thinking I could just fill the holes and turn it into a set neck. would it work?

No, not enough surface area for the neck and body to get glued together. Idk about GF kits, I hear they're hit and miss. Some are good some are bad.

Just keep it a bolt on dude. its a lot easier and more convenient, especially if you dont like the quality of the neck and want to replace it.

No it wouldn't. What's the big deal with it being a bolt on neck?

For that price, be happy it's even a guitar .

see how a set neck is contoured?

it looks way better than this...

unless they contour it more with the neck, Which I dought they do because it comes witha rectangle bolt on plate.

He means if you filled the holes and glued the neck on, it would look the same. Just without the bolts.

Oh, I was planning on contouring the neck joint so that if flows with the neck. That is if it would work.

since your looking at a GF kit, you might be interested to check out this thread it's a les paul kit, but Commander Curry has done a great job of documenting his progress. he was working on a manual, too, since these things don't come with one, but i don't know if he finished it. he may have

sir, i would like to inform you that you are now my favorite UGer. Not only did you use the word y'all, which is native to my homeland, but you correctly punctuated it using the apostrophe.

why dont you just get the little eyelets for an AANJ from ibanez, shave down the neck joint to make it a little more comfortable, and use those eyelets and the properly sized screws?

sounds very classy to me.

do you have a link to where I can find that?

Another question, is it possible to get the kit with Black Hardware rather than Chrome?

I read that, interesting but I don't like the finish he chose.
