Pit, I had heard alot of hype before about the infamous movie ' The Blair Witch Project'.
So I decided tonight that I would watch it. The weather was perfect - it was raining, getting dark, and my house was being closed in on by fog... it was cutting my house off from everything. Mind you, I live in the middle of nowhere. Seriously. There are NO houses around me. The nearest big town is about 10 miles away. So I could see nothing past about 20 feet
So I draw the blinds and turn off the lights, and put on the movie.
I was really freaked at the beginning and was very tense, because I was expecting it to be extremely scary.
Just over an hour later, the movie ended and... I have to say it wasn't that scary...

Pit, what's your opinion on the movie?

If i get grief over the searchbar, I searched and nothing came up.

I've watched it a few times to try and let myself get scared, but the worst I got was a little creeped out. Mainly with the kids voices outside the tent.
#6
I thought it was pretty good since it was made with a 2000 dollar budget. If you went on the website beforehand and had people tell you it was a true story ( like a friend did to me ), it would enhance the effects.

it's good at building tension, but nothing happens to the tension built up. Too much is left to your imagination.

I loved Cloverfield, so of course I got a hundred recommendations to watch Blair Witch. But my friends also said it was boring...hmmmmmm.

Yeah Cloverfield was very good, that's why I thought I'd like this but alas...

Nothing happens, nothing happens, nothing happens.. something about a map, nothing happens.

My unbiased review

That would be family guy's unbiased review.

After that nothing happens, nothing happens. It's over. A lot of people in the audience look pissed.

It ****ing sucsk, so does the song/Metallica Album in your sig, shame on you. St. Anger was pure garbage coming from metallica. I could go on and on about St. Anger but i will leave you alone

Making fun of St. Anger is sooooo 2004.

Back on topic, I saw the movie, and it wasn't very good at all. A little freaky at times, but otherwise a waste of time.

I get majorly creeped out by the ending.. just the last scene where there's the uncertain danger..
The camera style is not too dissimilar from some Dogme 95 films which are also a bit creepy
Well I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk...

The only song I can stand to listen to on KEA is Seek & Destroy. Ride the Lightning is where they got good.

yes the kids' voices was creepy. I personally didn't think it was thát scary, but it made me think instead. The movie had some good twists and turns, some shock value also.

I'd rather discuss any stanley kubrick made heroic badassery than the ****movies we watch these days that are 80% CGI and eyecandy and no substance.

Yeah, and the Blair Witch Project isn't exactly a Stanley Kurbrick film. It was something to talk about in 1999, but we have since moved on.

I remember being a little freaked out by it, of course I was like 12 the last time I saw it. For the budget they had I think they did a decent job.

You know it's ironic that Blair Witch 2 and the Metallica documentary, Some Kind Of Monster, have the same director. Hm, a crappy sequel to a crappy, over-hyped movie directs a ****ty documentary about how Metallica can't get it together, even though they eventually did and fired their therapist.

Its directed by one of the 2 directors. Plus if you're comparing Blair Witch 2 to SKoM, then somethin up there is gone hay-wire *taps CullenT on the head*
