prowling in the night
up in the trees
they hide
and below
fallen leaves

The morning turns the sky an iridescent red
and the animals explode from their crevices
bright and refreshed.

On second thought, **** tuning forks. You best be carrying around a grand piano that was tuned by an Italian

i'm totally unsure of what to say.
i love the last half of this.
i would've adored the whole piece if you had've made the first half a representation of animals during the night... and then the second half, (the hiding) a representation of them during the day.
the length would've made it stunning, IMO.
I also was look down the first letter of each line to see if it spelled a word :P
glad it didn't.
