bigsby's are ugly, theyre too big and too bulky for my taste

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"

Honestly, a nice (semi)hollow with a bigsby and a handmade tube amp is where it's at.

So needless to say, I third the motion of closure lol.

'Practice amp' = amp you practice with? In my case, Peavey 6505+ and 4x12

Well there's

Divebombs
Harmonic dives
Gargle/Fluttering depending on what you want to call it
Dime squeals

and everytihng contained in this:

Well a dive bomb is where you push the bar down so the note goes down, whatever that note may be. A dime squeal is where you flick the string with your fretting hand, dump the bar a bit and then hit a harmonic with your fretting hand, raising the bar once you have the harmonic to the desired pitch... usually very very high, like at the end of Cemetery Gates.

You forgot Herman Li's ''Motorbike'' dude! That video was Genius though. I know they don't take themselves too seriously, but I really hope He looked back at that video afterwards and facepalmed after watching himself scrape the bar across the strings.

And also, too much stock on Visual aspects my son :/

I wouldn't know anything about that. Seriously, is this thread a joke? Whammy technique? Uh... push, pull. You want a whole thread about this?

There are many different things that can be done with a whammy and a guy wanted one place where he could have them all explained and we could generally talk about the whole 'whammy' thing. The only joke here is your attitude.

I don't get it...what's wrong with this thread? There's dozens of techniques for the whammy bar. Noobs. Check out Vai's articles about it that Zaphod_Beeblebr posted. That'll learn you.

I love my OFR. I use it too much but oh well. I love to bend a note up then add subtle vibrato with the whammy, Gilmore style.
