i'm looking for a tube amp, even 5w will do, for cheap.
the blackheart 5w all tube is only about 200, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

There's the Peavey Royal 8, but i always thought it sounded a little thin and just kinda bad in general. I think it costs 199 bucks.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

If you want something bigger, the peavey windsor series kicks ass for a lowish price. The stack is $400, and I think the 20 watt studio combo is $400 also.

Peavey Windsor half stack, 100w head and cab for $500 roughly
I play Lacrosse, you should too

Btw, the Valve Junior and Fender Champion 600 are almost the exact same amps. Can't really go wrong with either one.

The Blackheart is a good idea if you play lighter (jazz, blues, classic rock) stuff. I bet you could pull some light metal tones out if you're in an environment that you can crank it - but even 3w tube is really loud.

Check the sound clip on my profile for some (badly played) Led Zeppelin.
Rig was PGM into Blackheart 5watt running through a Vypyr15 as a cab. Bass/mid/treble at about 9 o'clock, because if they were any louder it would probably collapse my house. Volume on the amp and guitar are both 10. Mic'd with a RockBand mic about 5 or 6 feet away.
