ok so ive been having problems with my marshall tsl 100 head lately. The tubes are extra hot and have been glowing a bright bright orange as if they were burning. So i decided to so how hot the millavolts were for each set of tubes. They were both around 300!!!! Are the tubes bad? If not, how will i know when they are? Is my multimeter broken? Is it that simple that i just need to turn them down to 90 mV?

thank you!

please help me =[

Uhm... EL34's shouldn't be biased above 35mv O.o
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

I biased mine to 37, but I don't mind reducing the tube life for faster power tube saturation.

It's mA, btw, not mV. I didn't read the posts closely enough.

I've never seen an EL34 recommended bias above 80mV.
