seriously how many?? Be honest.

I own
CoolCat Transparent OD, Vibe and tremelo pedal.
I have yet to apply the tremelo.
But the Transparent OD is sweet lets more of clean tone through so you get the OD crunch and it's not all garbled sounding.

I have a Danelectro milkshake chorus which i use alot.

My marshall Jack hammer i dont use.

My Russian big muff and echo delay craped out on me.

My amp has the sweetest built in distortion, but if I don't use that the $15 rock DE rock distortions are absolutely insane for bass. Besides that I use my Rocktron Deep Blue Chorus.
#3
I use a Line 6 Echo Park Delay, works great.

I have a few Danelectro cool cat pedals I like using with my Jay Turser holllow body bass the cool cat chorus, tremelo, metal II, Fuzz and Vibe but I mostly use the transparent overdrive with the chorus

I know a few bass players who use Proco Rats for distortion. [Not the bass version of the Rat though, that sounds like you've plugged into a washing machine falling off a cliff.]

Well, if i had my choice, I would use the Signature Jimi Hendrix wah pedal on my bass again. My friend always loved my playing and brought in his and let me play on it. I loved that pedal...
Try adding more delay.

I have two bass pedals, two guitar pedals, and one unisex pedal

Bass pedals being Bass Big Muff and Bass Synth Wah (Digi)
Guitar pedals being DD-6 and Echo Park (yum, delay!)
the other pedal is a Morley ABY switch

I use a Supercollider, which was designed for drop tuned guitars really, but sounds awesome on bass, with masses of low end.

The Q-tron, Weeping Demon and VBF-2 are all unisex, as it were.

my compressor's the guitar one from boss, course it works fine with the bass

the weeping deamon's a unisex as it's already been stated and the bass big muff is (you guessed it) for bass
no sig for joo

I have an EHX bass big muff pi, but i also bought ibanez chorus/flanger and phaser pedals for my guitar a while ago. Those work alright on bass, and even keyboard occasionally.
#15
i love the Boss super overdrive. it has the exact tone of grittyness that i wanted.
Seriously, f*ck off with the R.I.P Dimebag bullsh*t, you dont see the bass forums going R.I.P Jaco everytime some one mentions him!

I use an ehx small stone nano and an ehx small clone(which im selling), they both work great, although there are some settings on the stone that absolutely annihilate the bass

I'm pretty sure Cliff Burton used the guitar Big Muff in the early days.

Uhhh Cliff didn't really have any middle or later days, so ya he used a big muff. Also, he used a Morley PWB.

I use a lot of guitar pedals also:
Morley PWB
3xFx Fatman (has both bass and guitar modes- bisexual?)
MXR Phase 90 (unisex)
Digitech Whammy (most modes are unisex with minimal bass loss)
ISP Decimator (unisex)

Compared to bass specific pedals:
EHX Bassballs (practically unisex- some guitarists use those too)

So ya, ratio of guitar to bass pedals is 5:1

some cheap ibanez fuzz pedal i got at music go round for 30 bucks. best fuzz pedal i have ever used. i use it for both guitar and bass, gets that signature jack white tone when using single coils. its pure awesomeness, and it was cheap.

My girlfriend plays bass (I tend to use her gear all the time as well) and she uses a Carbon Copy and a Digiverb.

I've got a Tuna Melt trem, but I don't know if I'd call specifically a "guitar" pedal...
Nope, no sig here.
#25
I use an Ibanez DS-7 distortion for guitar, and I tried it out on my bass, but it absolutely killed my low end, therefore sounding very quiet and undesirable. So my response to the topic of the thread is "no." Haha.

Actually I've also found that my brother's Boss guitar wah sounds just as crappy on bass as my distortion does.

I picked up a Digitech Grunge for my bass. I was torn between that and the Bad Monkey, but the Grunge was more what I was looking for.

How's the low end on it? & have you used it in a band situation & could it be heard?

In terms of guitar pedals, I have a small clone and Boss DD-6, the rest of my pedals are bass specific

I have a DigiDelay and a Boss DigiWah, one of which is a guitar pedal and the other is unisex.

Which is why I find them in my guitarist /son's bedroom constantly.

Let's see, I Used to Use...
Boss DD-3 (Pretty Much Unisex)
Boss BF-3 (Bi? Well, a Mode For each)
Digitech bass multi chorus (Bass)
Dunlop 105Q (Bass)

But Now I'm Just Using a digitech EX-7, which is a Guitar Pedal, and It Sounds Pretty Good, and Does Pretty much Everything I Need it to, plus More...Whammy Tracking Is Nonexistent Below G Though.

When you turn up the lows on the pedal, it's alright. It does cut some of them out, but I use it for when the bass needs to be heard and distorted. I've used it with a band, and it was heard. Even when I was just playing regular bass riffs under the guitars, there was a difference in tone with and without the pedal.

I use my Digitech RP80 through my bass, most effects sound great. but some should b used on guitar and not bass.
