I'm looking for a tube combo amp, preferably of low wattage and affordable price for bedroom practice.

What style of music do you play, and how high does your budget go?

I don't really think most tube amps are suitable for bedroom practice.

Even 5 watt ones get pretty loud.

yeah, i've never owned a tube amp. maybe i'm better off with solid state

I'm gonna pretty much disagree. They don't sound WORSE than a solid state at a low volume, they just sound better when turned up a bit. The chance to crank it is an advantage but it's not totally necessary.

TS, check out the link in my sig.

See if you can find a used crate v5 or palomino v8. You'll probably need an OD pedal to play metal though.
