I recently picked up a les paul knock off at an auction. It's pretty old (at least 12 years) and I'm looking to give it a make over.
It has a cream aged binding on it (either from age or was made that way) but with a black white black pickguard. Silver hardware and the old lyre style classic tuners. White pearl inlays and a black paintjob.
What do you guys think, black or gold hardware. Go with classic or retro machine heads. Pickguard or no?

Just testing the waters for ideas and such, get creative and have fun helping me out (I could work on guitars all day and have no problems putting stuff on them that doesn't even apply to me)

WARNING: SIDE TRACK
I saw this guitar and thought "gee it'd be cool to put like dice for inlays in those block slots and then write lucky 13 in that weird biker font down the side..... except I don't gamble shoot dice, and am not a biker, and don't really like those things (no offense to those who do)... why would i do that?" answer: cause it would look so cool
