My guitar has one, and from experience, I can't go in drop tunings because while i'm down tuning, the bridge adjusts to them and just keeps ****ing them up. Is there anyway i can down tune without that?

You can block it, but then you won´t be able to use the Floyd Rose.

if you want the full range of floyd rose then no, you can go drop tunings and have the floyd rose in dive down motion.
