I've been listening to guys like Insomnium, Dark Tranquility, and Arsis, and I absolutely love it.

However, I can't seem to find any good suggestions for bands such as these.

Could you guys and gals give me some good suggestions of melodic metal bands?

mmmm might be worth giving scar symmetry and solution .45 and soilwork a go... these guys might sound a bit too commercial for your liking though
Check out my band! The Afterparty on Facebook

Do you mean melodic death metal? Because pretty much every subgenre has melody.

Come to think of it, my penis should've listened to more death metal.

So my question is. Can Pre-Cum fluid pass through my underwear, my jeans, onto and through her jeans, through her underwear, and impregnate her?

I can't even stand to listen to 10 seconds of Swansong, it's just so bad.

I haven't even heard swanGsong. With your um kind words towards it Lin, I really don't think I want too. I love Carcass too much.

It's Heartwork gone wrong in every way possible. No aggressiveness whatsoever.

I loved Heartwork... I don't see why people hate. OMG it haz melodiez lulz itz gayz.... fck man, it's so awesome, me and my friends were driving to that shit one time. Should I even bother with Swansong then? I'm really scared to listen to it, I was gonna go and pay 22 dollars for it.

EDIT: Now that my friends, is a post gone completely wrong.

It's the equivalent of Metallica's Black Album.

EDIT: Nooooo, Heartwork is awesome, I absolutely love it. Don't even be curious about Swansong, it's not worth it.

DOUBLE EDIT: If you pay 22 dollars for that piece of garbage, I will disown you. Forever, ever.

If you must, listen to it on youtube first, then make your decision. I would not spend 22 dollars on it.

Quit being a pussy and listen to it. What's the worst that can happen? You don't like it, big deal.

I was joking, I just did lol. Meh, Linfield's basically right.... crap songs.

Do you guys know if their gonna be releasing any new material?

Does it matter? Carcass have always tried to put out something different from the rest of their albums, and in the case of Swansong, I'd hesitate to be interested in any new material.

Bill said that he would be suprised if it happened, but it's still a possibility.

I think Swansong tried to mimic Heartwork, but Michael left so it didn't have his kind of playing style that is so obvious on Heartwork and in Arch Enemy. With Michael back, they could potentially make a very good album, if it ever happened.

Good point. It's worth a shot though, I mean it has been 13 years since a full length release so you never know what can happen.

I'm sort of surprised no one mentioned the Arcturus album The Sham Mirrors, it's fantastic. Equilibrium's Mana album isn't too bad either though it's a lot more folky than most of the other bands listed so far.
