can anyone hook me up with some?? http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/products/accessories/bag.html

It costs about USD170, but its the best looking gig bag i've EVER seen. Sort of liek comparing George Clooney and Jack Black, or Megan fox with paris hilton (ones a sexy actress, and the others a cheap sl*t..)

its made of leather instead of the cheap nylon with foam padded ones on sale.

note it does open with a zipper.. the SM 'shoelaces' are just to expand/contract the bag.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

No doubt, but surely protecting the guitar is more important than what the case/bag looks like (and who sees it anyways)?

Edit: ^Exactly, hell, I could probably find a used guitar with a hardcase for 170 if I look real hard.

It's interesting.

I've never really seen the point of a gig bag, I would never trust my guitar in one. You could buy 2 - 3 decent hard cases for that price and have something that protects it much better, and has locks so n00bs can't get in yo **** at shows

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Just get a HSC and be done with it.

Those bags are meant for the guys who walk around in combat boots and leather pants while wearing a white wife-beater and a chain wallaet with 3 chains. ;P

There's two much going on for my tastes.
I've seen some gorgeous gig bags bar/pub musicians use that utilize simple designs and features, and still keep their gear very safe. Hand-made ones.
I have no idea where you can get the Ibanez, burlesque ones from apart from the obvious places: Guitar Centre, ZzSounds, MusiciansFriend, etc.

There are no doubt many benefits of having both hard-cases and soft ones, but I'd always prefer the hard case, just because I can't afford nice soft ones. And there is no real point saying "just get a hard case" when it's not really the topic.

Btw, Megan Fox is not a cheap actress, and a Paris is not a slut. She's a nice girl.

And don't get me wrong... I would sooooooooooo rock one of those, haha. I described my personality, lmfao. Cept jeans instead of leather pants.
