In a band, bedroom playing, 75w would be fine. I have a Synyster Custom if you guys wanted to know.

For 600$ I'd go with a tube amp.

B-52 AT-112
Peavey Vypyr Tube
Randall RG50TC
Peavey 6505+ 112

If you go used you can find much better amps for the price.

Not as loud as you'd think, considering it's solid state

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

This Peavey 6505+ 112, does it have a really good high gain sound? Thats what i require the most.

The original 6505+ does. The 112 doesn't come out until October... so no one knows

I can't help but do this to the number of people that voted for the vyper. Granted the tube version is better, but again for that price there are better amps to be had.

I always hate these threads with the polls. There's never anything good on them.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

You're not truly playing guitar unless you know theory.

I vote vox. A vt50 should do the trick. I own an AD15VT and it is amazing. The vt amps are the best for their price range.
