Ok I need a new amp, but I don't want one with built-in FX. I'm looking for one for band practice/home practice, I play everything, but mostly 80s or 90s rock. I have about $300 to spend, any good suggestions?

Is used gear ok? If so what is the nearest metropolis?
Classic 30 or 50, Palomino V32 or V50, Crate VC3112 or 5212, Traynor YCV...
Check your local craigslist.

I'd get one of the old Peavey Rages for a simple, good practice amp.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Boss pedals may be built like tanks but I would rather buy a cardboard box that is on my side than pay for a tank that is working against me.
