Howdy. Just got me an EHX Small Clone
My set up is as follows:

Guitar/s >TU-2 >Big Muff> Rockerverb 50

The questions is should the Small Clone be placed in el fx loop or not?

The questions is what is the paper about?

It does not.

Then you have but one question to ask yourself.

More pristine chorus at the cost of new cables.
Or.
Less expressive chorus during overdriven passages at the cost of jus a patch cable.

well just run it in front of the amp then

Ok, just just imagine HYPOTHETICALLY I'm stupid. "Just run it in front of the amp then" in relation to what? Not being able to turn my loop on/off? I don't get it..

my post was directed at your reply to my earlier one

i was too lazy to quote it haha

if you rarely run amp distortion and chorus at the same time and don't have a spare cable you might as well just slap it in front of the amp. it's not like amp distortion will destroy your chorus sound anyway.

Ohhh You reply really quickly.. Thanx!

Ok! I just did some experimenting. So, when not in the loop, the small clone is relatively noisy and hissy. When in the loop, this noise is all but eliminated, however, maybe I'm just imagining things, but I think I can detect the slightest loss in overall volume, even when its off. I'm so confused right now.. Help?

You have one hell of a nice set up! Why don't you use the amp distortion often?

Oh, and I found the same thing with my reverb that if I put it in the loop, it gets rid of all hiss.

Haha who said I don't use my amps distortion?! So I am just imagining the volume loss?

Never mind x). I don't think you're imagining the volume loss. Just stick it in the loop, it will generally sound much better.
