hey guys
so i decided that i wanted to use my graphite guitar neck to be the one i learn/play slide on

so now its time to set it up!
what all do i need?
its a strat type guitar with an h-s-h setup
so far the only pickup i have is an sh-2 duncan jazz pickup which i was going to put in the neck
should i use this?
what kinda pickups should i put in for slide?
its really a new game to me

as you can see from my sig i got alotta vintage sounds in my other strats
i want this one to be similar, but not the same
thanks

1 - new nut with all the slot depths cut in a straight line, rather than a radius.

2 - Adjust the bridge saddles for even height.

if you're just trying it, raise the bridge and play along. no reason to pick up any new pickups, though texas specials make a country-ish twangy sound you can try with

thats perfect
my guitar has a bit higher action than normal for fingering, thanks!

so the way it seems... the pickup does not really matter too much?

you can do it the easy way and get one of those slide nuts that just sit over your guitar nut . you loosen the strings pop this on over the existing nut then tune the guitar. there avalable on ebay. when you have had enough of slide loosen the strings take it off and retune the guitar is back to the way it was with no alterations . simple.
