As in grills and cooks outdoors in parks and whatnot?

What do you non-Americans have to say, experience-wise?
My God, it's full of stars!
#4
of course not. my family comes from Croatia, and we've got a house there, and last summer our entire family came over and roasted pig and lamb in the backyard.

It's called a barbeque, come over to australia and you'll go to a ****load.

I'm just wondering what other countries, mostly those in Europe, do, so far as cooking outdoors and grilling/having a good cook out is concerned
My God, it's full of stars!

Not really, I've only ever been to Spain, in a city along the coast, and I didn't have the chance to notice any "cook outs", so how is that a silly question? Grow up.

I think it's interesting to see what others countries do to cook out.
My God, it's full of stars!

We do that here in Canada, and I've heard Aussies cook out ridiculously often.

also if Canada counts, we barbeque an insane amount. I'm pretty sure the biggest bbq countries on the planet are America, Canada, and Australia. nobody comes near us for firin' up the grill.

My Uruguayan grandad built this massive BBQ we call the Crematorium that he cooks pigs or baby goats and stuff with. They often have sausages and ribs and stuff there too.

That's what I figured haha, when was the last time you heard of someone in England fryin' up the grill for a sweet ass barbecue?

To be fair and unbiased, I've never heard of it, ergo my curiosity

We do in the UK and Europe, and as far as I'm aware most of the world does. We call it a barbecue too. Don't assume just 'cos our weather often sucks, that we don't cook outdoors too; al fresco cooking is an Italian term often used, which literally means "out doors" cooking.

Damnit, don't just assume we don't have such things here. In the summer, the sale of bbq items is big business over here, and plenty of pubs have their own outdoor grills for use in the summer.
Hey, look. Sigs are back.

We have friends from South Africa, and they call their cookouts "braais". Very similar to American barbeques, with sausages and kebabs and marinaded meats and the like.
