Used the searchbar and got a result but it comes up with that bloody page cant be displayed thing so here's another one.

I thought Aerosmith was Def Leppard when I heard Love in an Elevator.
I often hear David Gilmour's solo on Comfortably Numb and for a few seconds think it's Sweet Child o Mine.
Rainbow and ELO in a way that's not really obvious

btw don't use this thread to say all rap or pop sounds the same, even if it does.

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think

I saw Styx, REO Speedwagon, and .38 Special this year and they all sound pretty much the same.

AC/DC and Airbourne

cept Airbourne thinks they're so damn good and AC/DC hasn't got a drop of selfconsciousness between them (cept maybe Brian). And Airbourne solos are crap, Angus'd bash them for not having enough 'groove.'

The Foxboro Hotubs and Green Day

...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

That's rubbish. Yes, they maybe be about the same band (they added keys and guitar and what not) but really don't sound the same. To me, the only similarity between the two seems to be Armstrong's voice, but even his way of singing is different on the Foxboro Hottubs tracks.
Wait, I'll simplify. Green Day = punkpop, Foxboro Hottubs = garage.

Any Indy band and any Indy band?

I mean, 9 out of 10 times they're using a Tele with an Orange head and a Marshall cab -.-

Airbourne won't be around anymore then. I think.

On Topic: Brittish alternative bands.
