So I found an Ampeg SS-35 for $140. Is this a smaller version of the SS-70/SS-140? Does it got the same tone? Is this a worthwhile purchase?
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.

I'm gonna make a post with all the modules available and link to the sites of the modders that you can link to in your post, Alf It'll take a while though.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

Looking for an amp...

Budget: $600
Location: Middle of nowhere, Iowa (Ayrshire, Iowa...about 3 hours SE of Soiux Falls, South Dakota)
New or used: Used
Gigging or no: Soon to be
Bands that you play: Helloween, Stratovarius, Kamelot, Hammerfall, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden etc. etc. Power Metal mostly...

EDIT: First Act is the LAST guitar I would expect to see UG reccommend.

edit: just found these in your general area on craigslist.

If it wasn't for the Wal-Mart guitars, you'd probably see more First Act stuff. First Act isn't all that bad.

To answer your question, I'd say a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 could cover each and everyone of those bands with ease. If you look hard, you can find the head for $600. That would literally be PERFECT for you

QFT.

First Act custom shop guitars are t3h sexx. Amazing quality. Norma Jean is now endorsing them fully.

it raises
80hz
240hz
750hz
2200hz
6600hz

the Graphic EQ is very responsive and it always sounds good in the "V" position.

do it man, im still astounded by the tone i get get out of this "budget" amp. I took it to an amp convention thing, there was a lot of high end amps (bogner, vht, engl, etc...) and people were floored at the sound of my bugera. Not as good as the uberschalls and special editions.... but for 650 you cant go wrong. Buy it and never look back

Does the 6260 have a better kl33n channel than a 5150? I liked the tone I got from the non-plus/II version better, but I want cleans

the clean channel on the 6262 destroys the "clean" channel on the 5150. I play alot of slightly stoopid, sublime, stuff like that on it to, and it works perfectly. The only thing the 5150 does a little better is classic rock, but that could be fixed with a ts9
