Ok, so I've been teaching myself guitar for a year and a half. I know that's not long but I wanna start recording a few covers and some stuff I made up to sorta chronicle my progress as I learn. I downloaded Audacity but now I need to know a cheap mic I can get and/or a cord I can connect my guitar to my PC with. Remember, cheap is the word

How cheap? Stretch to $90ish and you can get an SM57. It'll last you a lifetime. Great mics. You could also get one of the $30 knockoffs, but... you know...

connect this to your computer with a male RCA/male 1/8'' cable (also check out the UB1002 if you decide you don't want that many channels)
