Are you talking about those weird sphincter-spasms where it feels like there's a ghost dick in your ass for a little while and then it just disappears?

its an Explorer with a cut in the back of the body, thats all, so if you like sitting with an Explorer shape its the same thing.

I don't like it.

I don't either. I can understand, though, that any guitar shape, regardless of how stupid most may think it looks, just makes certain folks feel complete.

^ Pretty much, it kind of feels like the exo-skeleton of an explorer just because of all the wood missing, but you're pretty dead-on.

They are actually are quite comfortable to play..and you can also hold them like this, which makes playing the higher frets easier.

true, they're really not uncomfortable (no matter what people who think it's funny to joke about the sharp horns say) but i feel really awkward sitting in a classical guitar position. just can't get used to it i REALLY really wanted a jackson rr when i started playing, too

Just guessing, from the shape of his sig guitar, and the fact that it's an ESP...I doubt its anything I'd listen to.

Lol at single EMG. That's a whole crapload of yuch waiting to be unleashed.

That's an okay, but I'd rather feel more "complete" and go with an Explorer.

Only time Ive seen a true single coil in a chrome humbucker housing was chinese knock off where they claimed it was a humbucker but half the housing was empty.

Only 1 humbucker and 1 volume knob? Wow, so little tonal options.

Actually I think it might be a single coil.

Check my sig brah, I know all about his guitar.

It's a single coil sized HB. As far as I know on his stage models he uses a JB Jr, but his sig guitar comes with what seems to be a clone of a mini Super Distortion, which has to be one of Ibanez's best stock pickups. It pwns the muddy things that come in cheap RGs.

New?

Charvel made those in the 80's
*Charvel*

They do look kinda cool, but I wouldn't play one. I feel that way about many guitars: good, but not for me.

Thank you. Reading through this thread I was getting scared that nobody had noted that Charvel made them. Also, there's Jackson's Kelly Star.

Basically, like with most of their line & signature models, it's a guitar shape that's been around for years that ESP have picked up.

Same here haha, this shape is nothing new. Kramer made a these too, along with Arbor and other smaller companies like that. I believe Warmoth has offered this body for a long now too

As much as I like ML's, I never was a fan of the Star bodies

Oh my god I find it so hilarious that someone doesn't know a not-well-known metal guitarist.

I have no idea who he is, besides an ESP endorsee with a bitchin' sig.
